Performance

'The Search for Imagination' 'performance' is running alongside the art pieces and workshops but is also very much linked to them.

50 minute walking 'performances' at 10.30pm, 12.30pm and 3.30pm.

We hope to explain later a little more about the ideas and inspiration behind the performance as well as the devising process (through workshops, sharing the facilitation and leading of these workshops, bringing together a whole load of ideas from everyone, using a variety of techniques and games to explore and create the characters and little interactions ...often a rocky hectic path but fun and great too and we're getting there in the end). But for now, the story so far...

The council of the mystical city of Burghedin have lost their imagination! The future of the city lies in their hands and without imagination there will be rocky times ahead. Participants will take on the quest to find the missing imagination and return it. Along the way they will meet different characters from all aspects of life (tangible to abstract) – bees, trees, vegetables, city workers, thinkers, doers, musicians, anger, a butterfly, 'the heart', historians, the wind, worms, a dog, the bicycle...etc – in a journey which will reveal hidden perspectives and encourage a pro-active approach to learning. Can we save the city from a dull, monotonous future?
